This bowl was designed in the U.S.A. and it was made specifically for the Starch Solution diet.
Dr. McDougall's recommendation for maximum weight loss on the Starch Solution is to eat a 50/50 bowl , with 50% of the dish containing starches and the other 50% containing fiber-rich vegetables.
Each plate is hand made-to-order and no one plate will look like another. Individual plates will have their own unique characteristics and minor imperfections. Some bowls may be oddly round shaped due to each plate being individually handmade.

A message from the artist:
This specific glaze that was chosen for these bowls is one that "breaks" - which means that it DOES create a wide variety of results depending on where it is in the kiln among many other factors. This is what part of what makes the glaze so special and beautiful. I am also a hand builder meaning I do not use a wheel which could cause the "lopsided" look of the bowls. Having variety and an obvious hand made look is part of my aesthetic that I strive for.
FAQS:
Q: Are the plates stackable?
A: No, they are not due to their unique shape.
