This BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich is loaded with flavor. And of course, it's meat-free, dairy-free, plant-based, and Starch Solution approved! ✅

BBQ Jackfruit Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 small yellow onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ¼ teaspoons salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons pepper
- 3 cans 20 oz green jackfruit in brine or water
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
- 1 ½ teaspoons cumin
- 1 ½ teaspoons liquid smoke
- 1 cup of vegetable broth
- 1 ¼ cups barbecue sauce
Directions:
- De-seed your jackfruit, shred it by hand and add it to your Instant Pot (I added hearts of palm to my mixture because I had it but you don’t need it)
- Sautee your onion and garlic until golden brown
- Add your jackfruit to your sauteed pot and top with spices
- Once your spices have been absorbed, add in your barbeque sauce
- Slow-cook in your Instant Pot for 4 hours, keeping an eye on it
Once it’s cooked, add it to your favorite bread or buns and enjoy! 🤩
